Maddie is 5 months old!!!

It took forever to get Maddie to smile for this picture. She just kept wanting to make this silly face. She did it for a good 15 min. before she finally gave me a smile. I was cracking up...

Well, Maddie tried Rice cereal. She did great. The hardest part was to be faster than her. As soon as I take the spoon out of her mouth her thumb goes in. So, the secrect is to have two spoons ready. That way as soon as the spoon come out of the mouth, the other one is going in. Otherwise, no cereal is swollowed.. it ends up on her thumb which ends up in her hair, in her chair, on her body, but mostly on her mommy!!!

This is how I found Maddie went I went to get her when she had just woken up from her nap. I am thinking that just maybe Maddie didn't sleep during nap time...

What's New in the world of Maddie....

Maddie is 4 Months old Now.
She loves her flower rattle. Sometimes I think she thinks its a real flower, because I often find her smelling it. Maddie loves her friend Jeffery. She won't sleep or go anywhere without him. He is a giraffe.

Maddie had some special visitors come over. She got to spend time with her Aunt Elizabeth (and Jeffery) and her cousin Aly.

Maddie's idea of tummy time is to lay there and look cute...

Maddie loves to wear her new coat. She cries when she has to take it off. I was pretty sad that the coat didn't come in my size. I SO would have worn it.

Loves to spit just enough out that she can blow bubbles with it.

Maddie got a new hat for christmas to help keep her head warm. She doesn't like to wear it, so we are slowly warming her up to it. We put it on as far as she will let us before she has a melt down. Didn't get to far with it here...but we are making some progress. And yes she did glare at me the whole time we were on our walk.

Maddie loves to play with her hands!! Who needs toys anyway...

Maddie has rolled over twice. We haven't got it on film yet because she does it in the middle of the night when she is supposed to be sleeping. I was sleeping one night and she had been asleep for several hours and all of a suddenshe woke up wailing. I rushed in there to see what the problem was and there she was in her crib on her belly, head up, arms out, legs kicking around all frantic like. It was pretty funny. I rolled her back over and she went back to sleep. So, she seems to do okay with the rolling part its the getting back over part that is tough. She is great at rolling on her side though.

For Christmas we bought Maddie this little bear gym. There are toys for her to bat at and a ball for her to kick with her feet. When she kickes the ball the bear dances and plays music. She loves it!!
